He Sends His Word to Heal Our Dis-eases!
Psalms 107:19 Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses.  20 He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. (New King James Version)
Have you ever had a disease – or shall I say a dis-ease? Maybe not a physical ailment, but a spiritual, emotional, mental or financial dis-ease, where you’re so uncomfortable because of the status of your job, or maybe you’re still interceding for a loved one, or still waiting for a doctor’s report? If so, then YOU NEED A WORD FROM GOD! Nothing else will do. In Matthew 8, the Centurion soldier told Jesus, “Just speak A word and my servant will be healed”.
God is ALWAYS speaking, can you hear Him? As a matter of fact, as a child of God, His Word will track you down to make sure that you’re comforted (or at ease) about your situation.
I remember being “uneasy” about the slow economy and feeling as though it was having a major impact on my business. The Lord sent His Word to me several times to say, “I’m going to bless you!” Those words first came to me from my mother who said the Lord told her to give me a message after spending time with Him in her private time. Next, the same message came to me from a devotional blog writer. God confirmed His Word again when I got into my car and turned on the radio. At first, I was inclined to change the channel, but then the words started tugging at my spirit, saying, “God is talking to you!” As I sat there listening to the song, the Lord ministered to me, and gave me an assurance in my spirit that He heard my prayers.
God has no problem with confirming His Word to us either. He’d rather us know for sure that it’s Him speaking than for us to assume it’s Him when it may not be.
A few days later, I ran into my local grocery store and walked out with a Word from God! A TOTAL STRANGER was standing in line in front of me. She turned to me and said, “You have a ministry, don’t you?” She went on to say, “The Lord is going to bless your ministry mightily, He’s going to bless many people through it. I can see it on you.”
Hallelujah!! How’s that for God’s Word tracking you down?!
The Lord is never short on words. As a matter of fact, He’s the Word who lives forever! He’s ALWAYS speaking and comforting His people. Are you listening?
