K.I.S.S. (Keep it Simple Sweetie!)

Today I read another great and inspiring quote from the great-Philosopher Dr. Seuss!  I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, I’m convinced that he was a genius!

“So the writer who breeds more words than he needs, is making a chore for the reader who reads.”  ~ Dr. Seuss

No one likes to read drag-on writings or hear someone who drags-on a conversation or a point! K.I.S.S. – keep it short & simple – Sweetie!

Troubles Will Have Troubles With ME!

I am so convinced that Dr. Seuss was a genius!

As a child, I remember watching and reading, “The Cat In the Hat”, “Green Eggs and Ham” and “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”. What sounded like bumbling humor as a child, sounds like GREAT inspiration and wisdom as an adult!

This is such a wonderful quote from Dr. Theodor Seuss Geisel, that I had to share it with you:

“I have heard there are troubles of more than one kind. Some come from ahead and some come from behind. But I’ve bought a big bat. I’m all ready you see. Now my troubles are going to have troubles with me!”  — Dr. Seuss

Instead of telling God how big your troubles are, tell your troubles about how BIG your God is! King Solomon said, “There is nothing new under the sun” (Eccl. 1:9).  Whatever trials and troubles you may be facing, others have already gone through the same ones and have come out SUCCESSFULLY!

… But I’ve brought a big bat  and its name is the Lord of Hosts!

The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles”  (Psalm 34:17).

Make this your mantra as you go through the ups and downs of life!

The Ultimate Valentine!

As the world gets ready to celebrate Valentine’s Day 2010, so many are depressed because they have no one to call their sweetie. What’s a person to do, or think, or feel when you’ve been bombarded with Valentine’s Day messages since last month, yet you’re not expecting anything on the 14th?!

How do you turn your depression into celebration?

There’s hope!  There’s indeed a Valentine for you!! There’s someone who thinks about you every second of every day – and not just on February 14th.  And He prays for you, and He talks with you, and He provides for you, and He cries when you cry. He’s the lover of your very soul!  Jesus!!

1 John 4:19 tells us, “We love Him, because He first loved us.”

Happy Valentine’s Day!
