As I’ve shared before, I’m on a virtual book tour for my new and fourth book, Inspired to Move Forward. And I’m so excited about it!
The tour started on yesterday and I’ve already done three blogtalk radio show interviews. Whew! In case you’ve missed them, here they are – listen in, as often as you’d like —
And this one –
And then this one —
Come along with me on tour! We’ve got a Facebook chat coming up on May 6th, more radio interviews and blog stops. See it all here —
This past weekend, Easter weekend, I launched my fourth book, Inspired to Move Forward!
I marked the event by having a private launch event at my home for 25 of my closest friends. I spoke about my journey as an author, and the road to my fourth publication. As I spoke about each of my books, I could see how God has used each one to minister to a whole lot of people. I shared some of the testimonies that I’ve received from my previous works (some are also posted in my press kit). At the time, I didn’t think too much about it but as I reflect on what was said and what has happened over my years as an author, I am amazed at God – once again!
The fact that I’m a self-published author and I don’t have the support of a giant publishing house behind me hasn’t detered me from doing what God has called me to do. He’s called me to encourage His people. And if I can encourage one person, as far as I’m concerned, I’m successful. Yes, of course, it would be wonderful to sell millions of copies of my books, and I believe that we’ll get there. But in the meantime, the fact that I can point to written testimonies of how God has used my work to minister to His people, causes me to be overjoyed!
So, here are some of the testimonies just from this weekend –
– “Hey Ms Aleysha!!
We really enjoyed ourselves Saturday. My sister and I have been talking about it all weekend!!
You have blessed us so much!!! I’d like to purchase 2 more books for my colleagues.”
– “Aleysha, your presentation was AWESOME!! You shared a dynamic word, it was the Gospel!
